I jumped on the tallow bandwagon with both feet - Minus Tallow & Aloe Balm is the 4th tallow balm I have tried, and by far the best. I tried one with honey, beeswax, and olive oil… it was too heavy and broke my super sensitive rosacea skin out. I tried a whipped balm with olive oil…. It had a weird texture and I smelled like a meat product (my cats loved me). I also tried one with cocoa and mango butters, and olive oil - it was heavy and waxy and sat on my skin like a grease mask.
Just as I was about to give up, I decided to try Minus. It has absolutely no scent… like NONE. It has a consistency somewhere between a cream and balm, which makes it super light and nice to touch and use, and easy to gently spread on your face and neck, or wherever else you use it (knees and elbows I’m looking at you). It is also that soft yellow colour you should look for in a tallow balm (quality). I have had no reaction to it, it sinks in nicely and my skin feels great. When they say a little goes a long way, believe them. Less is more. You get unheard of personalized customer service from Annie, one of the co-founders, including a hand written thank you card.
If you are at all curious about tallow balms, don’t waste your time and money on other products - I’ve done it for you! Minus is the bomb (see what I did there??).
